The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the host Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC), saw Pinecrest's softball squad nip Jack Britt by a score of 6-5.

With the triumph, Pinecrest improves its record to 6-1 on the year. The Patriots host Western Harnett (Lillington, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 26. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 5-4. Western Harnett lost 8-7 in their recent league contest against Triton (Erwin, NC)

The Buccaneers now have a 0-9 record. They take the field next when they host Gray's Creek for a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 25. Jack Britt will clash with a Bears team coming off a 13-6 league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Bears record now stands at 5-4.
