The Pinecrest Patriots softball squad (Southern Pines, NC), 19-17 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC)

With the triumph, Overhills improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Jaguars host Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Buccaneers in a Mid-South 7A/8A bout on Tuesday, April 14. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a record of 1-13. Jack Britt lost 9-5 in their recent league bout against Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC)

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 13. Pinecrest will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 11-2 league loss to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC).
