The Independence Eagles softball squad (Thompson's Station, TN), was edged 3-2 in Tuesday's league contest with the host Summit Spartans (Spring Hill, TN)

With the triumph, Summit improves its record to 7-11 on the year. The Spartans travel to Goodpasture Christian (Madison, TN) to face the Cougars in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 2. The Cougars enter the contest with a record of 10-5. Goodpasture Christian won 7-0 in their recent league match against Davidson Academy (Nashville, TN)

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Battle Ground Academy Wildcats (Franklin, TN) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, April 1. Independence will attempt to better on its 12-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the match with a 17-3 record after their 5-2 league win over Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN).
