The Union Pines Vikings baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Hoke County Bucks to 6 in the Vikings league win on Tuesday.

The Vikings now hold a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Western Harnett for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. Union Pines will play a Eagles team coming off a 8-2 league loss to Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-10.

With the defeat, Hoke County drops to 2-13 on the year. The Bucks host Lumberton (Lumberton, NC) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 9-3. Lumberton lost 8-0 in their recent league test against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)
