Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the host Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 1-0 in a league match.

With the triumph, Lee County advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to battle the Bengals in a non-league match on Thursday, March 6. The Bengals come into the match with a record of 2-1. Fuquay - Varina lost 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC)

The Vikings now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee County for a Sandhills 3A/4A match on Friday, March 7. Union Pines will battle a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 4-1.
