The Lee County Yellow Jackets baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Pinecrest Patriots to 3 in the Yellow Jackets league win on Friday.

The Yellow Jackets now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Richmond for a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 1. Lee County will play a Raiders team coming off a 7-5 league win over Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 8-6.

With the defeat, Pinecrest drops to 9-4 on the year. The Patriots host Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to play the Fighting Scots in a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 1. The Fighting Scots go into the test with a record of 8-4. Scotland lost 9-2 in their recent non-league test against South View (Hope Mills, NC)
