The Martins Ferry Purple Riders the visiting The Linsly School Cadets softball squad by a count of 6-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Purple Riders meet the St. Clairsville Red Devils (St. Clairsville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 2. Martins Ferry will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 13-12 league win over Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH).

The Cadets (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Mohigans enter the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Morgantown edged John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 16-1, in a league challenge.
