In Tuesday's non-league game, the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) softball squad triumphed over the host The Linsly School Cadets (Wheeling, WV), by a count of 10-0.

With the triumph, Martins Ferry upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Purple Riders host Indian Creek (Wintersville, OH) to play the Redskins in a non-league game on Wednesday, March 26. The Redskins enter the game with a record of 1-1. Indian Creek won 8-5 in their recent league game against Edison (Richmond, OH)

The Cadets now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Bellaire for a Buckeye 8 game on Saturday, March 29.
