The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) baseball got by the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 3-2 in Friday's league challenge.

The Polar Bears now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 14. Fairmont Senior will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.

With the defeat, Preston drops to 4-3 on the year. The Knights travel to Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV) to clash with the Eagles in a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 14. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Robert C. Byrd won 9-0 in their recent league challenge against Elkins (Elkins, WV)
