New York High School Lacrosse - Patchogue-Medford held off by Riverhead
April 12, 2024: Medford, NY 11763 Riverhead Blue Waves (Riverhead, NY) boosters exited the stadium content Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host Patchogue-Medford Raiders (Medford, NY), 8-7 in a league battle.
The Blue Waves now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Huntington for a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 16. Riverhead will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Cold Spring Harbor (Cold Spring Harbor, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-2.
In their next game, the Raiders clash with the Bay Shore Marauders (Bay Shore, NY) in a Section 11 I battle, on Tuesday, April 16. Patchogue-Medford will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Marauders come into the battle with a 5-3 record after their 10-9 league loss to Connetquot (Bohemia, NY).
