The Portage Indians crushed the host Wheeler Bearcats baseball team by a tally of 19-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Indians now hold a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host Merrillville for a Duneland bout on Tuesday, April 18.

Next, the Bearcats face the Hammond Morton Governors (Hammond, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 15. Wheeler will attempt to advance on its 2-7 season record. The Governors enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN).
