The Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC), 15-8 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to McDowell for a The Mountain 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, April 15. Asheville will clash with a Titans team coming off a 20-5 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Titans record now stands at 8-8.

With the defeat, Franklin drops to 8-9 on the year. The Panthers travel to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to clash with the Falcons in a Mountain Seven 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 15.
