Georgia High School Soccer - Cairo knocks off Monroe
April 15, 2025: Albany, GA 31701 In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Cairo Syrupmakers soccer squad scored a nice 10-1 victory over the Monroe Golden Tornadoes.
The Syrupmakers (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA). The Bearcats go into the 3A Region 1 outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Bainbridge prevailed over Dougherty (Albany, GA), 11-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Golden Tornadoes play the Peach County Trojans (Fort Valley, GA) in a 3A Region 1 outing, on Thursday, April 17. Monroe will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 13-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Westover (Albany, GA).
