The Ripon Indians the visiting Escalon Cougars softball squad by a count of 7-4 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA) in a Trans Valley League challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Ripon will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 3-2 league win over Hughson (Hughson, CA).

The Cougars (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Orestimba (Newman, CA). The Warriors enter the Trans Valley League challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Orestimba edged Turlock (Turlock, CA), 11-1, in a non-league challenge.
