The Hughson Huskies triumphed over the visiting Escalon Cougars softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Tuesday's league challenge.

Next, the Huskies play the Orestimba Warriors (Newman, CA) in a Trans Valley League challenge, on Thursday, April 10. Hughson will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 2-1 league win over Ripon (Ripon, CA).

The Cougars (4-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Indians enter the Trans Valley League challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Ripon edged Sonora (Sonora, CA), 10-0, in a league challenge.
