California High School Softball - Big Valley Christian held off by Hughson

In Tuesday's non-league test, the Hughson Huskies (Hughson, CA) softball squad got by the host Big Valley Christian Lions (Modesto, CA), by a tally of 14-13.

Next, the Huskies clash with the Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) in a Trans Valley League test, on Thursday, March 13. Hughson will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 3-6 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Summerville (Tuolumne, CA).

The Lions (3-10) will now prepare for their test against Riverbank (Riverbank, CA). The Bruins go into the Mother Lode League test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Riverbank was nudged by Kimball (Tracy, CA), 10-2, in a non-league test.
