The Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) baseball trounced the host Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), 20-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Aces now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northeastern for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 22. Holmes will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 10-4 league win over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-13.

With the defeat, Hertford County drops to 1-19 on the year. The Bears travel to Holmes (Edenton, NC) to clash with the Aces in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Tuesday, April 29. The Aces go into the challenge with a record of 16-5.
