The Laney Buccaneers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Hoggard Vikings to 4 in the Buccaneers league win on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now own a 16-4 record. They take the field next when they host New Hanover for a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Friday, April 25. Laney will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-8.

With the defeat, Hoggard drops to 6-15 on the year. The Vikings host Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to clash with the Screaming Eagle in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Friday, April 25. The Screaming Eagle go into the test with a record of 17-4. Ashley won 5-0 in their recent league test against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)
