The Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV) baseball got by the visiting Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 9-8 in Tuesday's league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 13-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Marys for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 30. Grafton will clash with a Blue Devils team coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-16.

With the defeat, Preston drops to 8-7 on the year. The Knights travel to Lincoln (Shinnston, WV) to clash with the Cougars in a Big Ten challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 13-10. Lincoln won 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Lewis County (Weston, WV)
