In Wednesday's league test, the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) softball squad the host Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL), by a tally of 9-5.

Next, the Chiefs clash with the Tri-Valley Vikings (Downs, IL) in a Heart of Illinois test, on Friday, May 2. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will attempt to advance on its 12-6 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 14-2 record after their 8-5 league win over Heyworth (Heyworth, IL).
