In Thursday's league match, the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) lacrosse team triumphed over the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), by a tally of 18-6.

With the victory, Marvin Ridge improves its record to 13-7 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to play the Warriors in a Southern Carolina/Rocky River game on Monday, May 5. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 10-4. Weddington won 16-4 in their recent league game against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC)
