Covington Trojans (Covington, IN) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Fountain Central Mustangs (Veedersburg, IN), 12-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Covington upgrades its record to 5-9 on the year. The Trojans travel to Crawfordsville (Crawfordsville, IN) to play the Athenians in a non-league game on Saturday, May 3. The Athenians enter the game with a record of 1-11. Crawfordsville lost 8-2 in their recent league battle against Southmont (Crawfordsville, IN)

With the loss, Fountain Central moves to 4-11 on the season. The Mustangs host North Montgomery (Crawfordsville, IN) to confront the Chargin' Chargers in a non-league battle on Monday, May 5.
