The Hilmar Yellowjackets softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Escalon Cougars to 3 in the Yellowjackets league win on Thursday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orestimba for a Trans Valley League battle on Tuesday, May 6. Hilmar will confront a Warriors team coming off a 13-1 league win over Sonora (Sonora, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-11.

With the loss, Escalon moves to 4-16 on the season.
