Massachusetts High School Softball - Salem bounces Winthrop
May 3, 2024: Salem, MA 01970 Spectators at Friday's league match between the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) and the visiting Winthrop Vikings (Winthrop, MA), witnessed Salem's softball squad prevail over Winthrop by a count of 16-4.
The Witches now sport a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Marblehead for a Northeast match on Tuesday, May 7. Salem will meet a Magicians squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Wakefield Memorial (Wakefield, MA). The Magicians record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Winthrop moves to 1-10 on the season. The Vikings host Excel Academy Charter (East Boston, MA) to meet the Wolves in a non-league match on Monday, May 6. The Wolves go into the match with a record of 0-5.
