The Riverside Vikings baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Lakeland Chiefs to 2 in the Vikings league win on Monday.

The Vikings now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Mid Valley for a Lackawanna 2 test on Wednesday, May 7. Riverside will play a Spartans team coming off a 11-0 league win over Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 15-3.

With the defeat, Lakeland drops to 5-12 on the year. The Chiefs host Old Forge (Old Forge, PA) to play the Blue Devils in a Lackawanna 2 test on Wednesday, May 7. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 11-6. Old Forge lost 4-3 in their recent league test against Dunmore (Dunmore, PA)
