In Wednesday's league bout, the Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA) baseball squad edged the visiting Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA), by a tally of 3-2.

Next up, the Vikings encounter the Delaware Valley Warriors (Milford, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 8. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 7-6 record after their 10-3 league win over Scranton (Scranton, PA).

The Spartans (15-4) will now prepare for their bout against Honesdale (Honesdale, PA). The Hornets enter the Lackawanna 2 bout with a 8-11 record. In their last bout, Honesdale edged Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA), 6-3, in a league bout.
