Oregon High School Baseball - La Grande defeats Burns
May 6, 2025: La Grande, OR 97850 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the La Grande Tigers (La Grande, OR) and the visiting Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR), saw La Grande's baseball team gain a win over Burns by a tally of 6-1.
The Tigers (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Ontario (Ontario, OR). The Tigers enter the 4A Greater Oregon battle with a 3-14 record. In their last battle, Ontario was overwhelmed by Pendleton (Pendleton, OR), 16-3, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, Burns drops to 9-5 on the year. The Hilanders host McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR) to clash with the Pioneers in a 3A-SD2 Special District 2 challenge on Friday, May 9. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a record of 8-1. McLoughlin won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Enterprise/Joseph (Enterprise, OR)
