In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Franklin Knights baseball team scored a close 11-6 win over the Hickory Hornets.

The Knights (10-7) will now prepare for their game against Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Eagles go into the District 10 Region 2 game with a 12-5 record. In their last game, Grove City nudged Sharon (Sharon, PA), 5-4, in a league game.

Next, the Hornets play the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a District 10 Region 2 game, on Monday, May 11. Hickory will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Rockets go into the game with a 10-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Oil City (Oil City, PA).
