Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) followers left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), 12-7 in a league match.

With the triumph, Hickory moves its record to 4-6 on the season. The Hornets host Sharon (Sharon, PA) to battle the Tigers in a District 10 Region 2 match on Monday, April 20. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 7-3. Sharon lost 20-5 in their recent non-league match against Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA)

The Knights now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Oil City for a District 10 Region 2 battle on Monday, April 20. Franklin will face a Oilers team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over North Clarion (Tionesta, PA). The Oilers record now stands at 4-5.
