The Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) baseball the visiting Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA), 6-2 in Wednesday's league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin for a District 10 Region 2 challenge on Friday, April 17. Hickory will clash with a Knights team coming off a 6-3 league loss to Grove City (Grove City, PA). The Knights record now stands at 7-4.

With the defeat, Slippery Rock drops to 3-3 on the year. The Rockets travel to Mercer (Mercer, PA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 17.
