In Wednesday's non-league bout, the Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN), by a tally of 14-2.

Next up, the Brickies encounter the New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 8. Hobart will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 11-5 record after their 8-1 league win over Mishawaka Marian (Mishawaka, IN).

The Wolves (7-12) will now prepare for their bout against River Forest (Hobart, IN). The Ingots enter the non-league bout with a 10-6 record. In their last bout, River Forest overcame Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN), 7-0, in a league bout.
