In Monday's non-league contest, the Northeastern Knights (Fountain City, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), by a margin of 19-3.

With the triumph, Northeastern moves its record to 11-7 on the year. The Knights host Union City (Union City, IN) to play the Indians in a Tri-Eastern contest on Tuesday, May 9. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 8-12. Union City lost 12-6 in their recent non-league contest against Tri-Village (New Madison, OH)

In their next game, the Golden Bears play the Muncie Central Bearcats (Muncie, IN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, May 11. Monroe Central will attempt to move on its 1-16 season record. The Bearcats come into the contest with a 0-9 record after their 19-6 non-league loss to Liberty Christian (Anderson, IN).
