In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) softball team held off the host Union City Indians (Union City, IN), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, Monroe Central moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Golden Bears travel to Living Water Homeschool (Indianapolis, IN) to play the Marlins in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 8. The Marlins come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Living Water Homeschool won 25-0 in their recent non-league contest against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (Indianapolis, IN)

In their next game, the Indians play the Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN) in a Tri-Eastern contest, on Thursday, April 6. Union City will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
