The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) and the host Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA), saw Encinal's baseball team gain a win over Berkeley by a tally of 6-2.

The Jets (16-8) will now prepare for their battle against Piedmont (Piedmont, CA). The Highlanders enter the non-league battle with a 15-8 record. In their last battle, Piedmont was overwhelmed by Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 6-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Yellowjackets face the Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 12. Berkeley will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 19-5 record after their 10-8 league win over Alameda (Alameda, CA).
