Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 7-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hoggard upgrades its record to 16-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Middle Creek (Apex, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league test on Friday, May 12. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 20-4. Middle Creek won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC)

With the defeat, Clayton falls to 13-11 on the season.
