New York High School Baseball - Peru defeats Saranac

May 10, 2022: Peru, NY 12972

Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY), 11-5 in a league test.

With the win, Peru upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Nighthawks travel to Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Friday, May 13. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 6-11. Northeastern Clinton lost 7-6 in their recent league test against Ticonderoga (Ticonderoga, NY)

With the defeat, Saranac falls to 5-8 on the season. The Chiefs host Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY) to battle the Eagles in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I test on Thursday, May 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 11-4. Beekmantown won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY)
