Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY), 15-3 in a league test.

With the win, Peru upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Nighthawks host Northeastern Clinton (Champlain, NY) to battle the Cougars in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I test on Friday, April 8. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 0-3. Northeastern Clinton lost 15-1 in their recent league test against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY)

With the defeat, Saranac falls to 0-1 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY) to battle the Eagles in a Section 7 Champlain Valley I test on Friday, April 8. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-0. Beekmantown won 12-1 in their recent non-league test against Salmon River (Fort Covington, NY)
