The Chopticon Braves softball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Northern Patriots to 1 in the Braves league win on Monday.

The Braves now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Mills for a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, May 14. Chopticon will confront a Hornets team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 7-15.

With the loss, Northern moves to 13-8 on the season.
