In Thursday's league test, the Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN) softball squad overwhelmed the host Heritage Patriots (Monroeville, IN), by a tally of 5-0.

Next, the Patriots clash with the Noblesville Millers (Noblesville, IN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 16. Jay County will attempt to advance on its 15-2 season record. The Millers go into the test with a 13-6 record after their 7-5 non-league win over Roncalli (Indianapolis, IN).

The Patriots (10-8) will now prepare for their test against Whitko (South Whitley, IN). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Whitko was routed by Wabash (Wabash, IN), 10-6, in a league test.
