Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME), 19-9 in a league test.

The Trojans now have a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to York for a non-league test on Saturday, May 18. Thornton Academy will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-7 league win over Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-1.

In their next game, the Red Riots face the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 18. South Portland will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 5-5 record after their 7-4 league loss to Wells (Wells, ME).
