The Stamford Black Knights routed the visiting Staples Wreckers softball squad by a count of 11-6 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Black Knights (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT). The Hilltoppers go into the Fairfield County battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Bridgeport Central was routed by Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT), 26-0, in a league battle.

The Wreckers now sport a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Ludlowe for a Fairfield County battle on Wednesday, May 18. Staples will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Danbury (Danbury, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 18-1.
