Virginia High School Softball - Wilson Memorial bounces Staunton
May 19, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets softball team scored 16 runs and held the host Staunton Storm to 2 in the Green Hornets league win on Monday.
The Green Hornets now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alleghany for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 21. Wilson Memorial will confront a Cougars team coming off a 4-1 league win over Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 14-4.
With the loss, Staunton moves to 3-12 on the season. The Storm host Riverheads (Staunton, VA) to confront the Gladiators in a Shenandoah battle on Wednesday, May 21. The Gladiators come into the battle with a record of 6-7. Riverheads lost 6-1 in their recent league battle against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA)
