The Pioneer Panthers triumphed over the visiting Benton Central Bison softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the DeMotte Christian Knights (DeMotte, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 26. Pioneer will attempt to upgrade on its 20-10 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 15-2 non-league win over Tri-Township (LaCrosse, IN).

The Bison (7-20) will now prepare for their challenge against Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN). The Bombers enter the non-league challenge with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Rensselaer Central overcame Hebron (Hebron, IN), 14-5, in a non-league challenge.
