In Saturday's non-league match, the host Rensselaer Central Bombers softball team scored a nice 13-2 victory over the Benton Central Bison.

The Bombers (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Tri-Township (LaCrosse, IN). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 0-11 record. In their last match, Tri-Township was routed by Boone Grove (Valparaiso, IN), 13-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bison battle the Lebanon Tigers (Lebanon, IN) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 12. Benton Central will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 16-7 record after their 22-0 non-league win over Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN).
