In Friday's league test, the Rensselaer Central Bombers (Rensselaer, IN) softball squad overwhelmed the host Lafayette Central Catholic Knights (Lafayette, IN), by a tally of 25-4.

Next, the Bombers clash with the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a non-league test, on Monday, May 5. Rensselaer Central will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Kougars go into the test with a 7-6 record after their 6-3 league loss to Munster (Munster, IN).

The Knights (1-12) will now prepare for their test against Twin Lakes (Monticello, IN). The Indians go into the Hoosier test with a 6-12 record. In their last test, Twin Lakes was routed by Delphi Community (Delphi, IN), 6-4, in a non-league test.
