Iowa High School Baseball - Van Meter defeats Carlisle
June 1, 2024: Van Meter, IA 50261 Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA), 8-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Van Meter upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Earlham (Earlham, IA) to battle the Cardinals in a West Central test on Monday, June 3. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 7-3. Earlham lost 4-2 in their recent non-league test against Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA)
With the defeat, Carlisle falls to 3-9 on the season. The Wildcats host North Polk (Alleman, IA) to battle the Comets in a Raccoon River test on Monday, June 3. The Comets come into the test with a record of 8-2. North Polk won 14-0 in their recent league test against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA)
