July 3, 2024: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Davenport North Wildcats (Davenport, IA) baseball got by the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA), 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 27-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Dubuque for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, July 9. Davenport North will clash with a Bobcats team coming off a 17-4 non-league win over Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA). The Bobcats record now stands at 17-5.
With the defeat, Mt. Vernon drops to 16-15 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Davenport West (Davenport, IA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, July 6.
