Georgia High School Softball - Southwest drops to Dublin
August 14, 2025: Dublin, GA 31021 Dublin Fighting Irish (Dublin, GA) fans exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their softball team run past the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 18-0 in a league match.
The Fighting Irish (3-2) will now prepare for their match against Washington County (Sandersville, GA). The Golden Hawks enter the 1A D-I Region 2 game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Washington County defeated Northeast (Macon, GA), 21-0, in a league game.
The Patriots now hold a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Bleckley County for a 1A D-I Region 2 game on Tuesday, August 19. Southwest will play a Royals squad coming off a 9-8 league win over East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Royals record now stands at 2-1.
