The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) volleyball overcame the host R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

With the win, McDowell upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Titans travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league outing on Monday, August 21. The Mountaineers go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Mitchell lost 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Erwin (Asheville, NC)
