The McDowell Titans volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Avery County Vikings to 1 in the Titans non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Titans now have a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to T.C. Roberson for a The Mountain 3A/4A game on Thursday, August 31. McDowell will meet a Rams team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-6.

The Vikings (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers enter the Western Highlands 1A/2A game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Rosman gained a win over NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
